  • BPSO announces recent arrests

  • The Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office has announced several recent arrests, including that of a Merryville woman charged with felony theft. Margai Bass was arrested Dec. 19 and processed into the parish jail. Bond was set at $129,000. Detectives Davis and Rupf investigated.
    Other arrests reported by BPSO include:
    — John Pharris, 34, of DeQuincy, was arrested Dec. 13. Pharris is charged with unauthorized entry into an inhabited dwelling, stalking and criminal trespassing. Pharris was processed into the parish jail, and a cash bond was set at $1,100. Deputy Lopez made the arrest.
    — Floyd Bullitt, 34, of Merryville, was arrested Dec. 13 and charged with two counts of domestic abuse battery. Bullitt was processed into the parish jail, and bond was set at $5,000. Merryvile Officer Robert Thompson made the arrest.
    — Thomas Latham, 40, of Merryville, was arrested Dec. 13. Latham is charged with unauthorized entry into an inhabited dwelling. Latham was processed into the parish jail. Bond was set at $15,000. Merryville Officer Robert Thompson made the arrest.
    — Jonathan LeBlanc, 30, of Lake Charles, was arrested Dec. 15 and charged with DWI second offense following a traffic stop. LeBlanc was processed into the parish jail, and a $1,500 cash bond was set. Deputy Greenmun made the arrest.
    — Matthew Stevenson, 17, of DeQuincy, was arrested Dec. 17. Stevenson is charged with burglary of an inhabited dwelling, theft and criminal conspiracy. Stevenson was processed into the parish jail, and bond was set at $80,000. Detective Jonathan Davis investigated.
    — Dakota Yarbrough, 20, of Fort Polk, was arrested Dec. 18 and charged with simple burglary and theft. Yarbrough was processed into the parish jail, and bond was set at $25,000. Detective Davis investigated.
    — Jeremy Deason, 37, of Rosepine, was arrested Dec. 18 and charged with aggravated burglary, theft of a firearm and felony theft. Deason was processed into the parish jail, and bond was set at $110,000. Detective Davis investigated.
    — Michael Hoskey, 38, of DeRidder, was arrested Dec. 18 and charged with felony theft. Hoskey was processed into the parish jail, and bond was set at $50,000. Detective Morton investigated.
    — Demarkquarius Watts, 17, of DeRidder, was arrested Dec. 18 and charged with simple burglary, theft and theft of a firearm. Watts was processed into the parish jail, and bond was set at $31,000. Detective Davis investigated.
    —  Joshua Deans, 22, of DeRidder, was arrested Dec. 18 and charged with felony theft. Deans was processed into the parish jail, and bond was set at $85,000.
