  • Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Tony Bacala reports the arrest of two Donaldsonville women and one man following an investigation into allegations of prostitution. The arrests were made yesterday after a three month long investigation that began when information was received that 33-year-old Lakeisha Marshall was prostituting a 14-year-old girl out of her home on McKinley Street in Donaldsonville in return for drugs and money. The State Department of Children and Family Services removed the 14-year-old from Marshall’s home and placed her in state custody as Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Detectives were investigating the allegations. During the course of the investigation, investigators obtained creditable information that Marshall was not only prostituting the minor out of her home, but would also send the child out of town with an adult female, Trenace Tyler, and an adult male, Wendell Walker, who prostituted her to customers in New Orleans and other areas in south Louisiana. On December 17 Lakeisha Marshall, 33, of 1305 McKinley Street, Donaldsonville was booked on charges of prostitution of persons under the age of 18, soliciting for prostitutes, and trafficking of children for sexual purposes. On December 17 Trenace Tyler, 19, of 607 2nd Street, Donaldsonville was booked on charges of criminal conspiracy to commit prostitution of persons under the age of 18, criminal conspiracy to commit soliciting for prostitutes, and trafficking of children for sexual purposes. On December 17 Wendell Walker, 46, of 500 West 4th Street, Donaldsonville was booked on charges of criminal conspiracy to commit prostitution of persons under the age of 18, criminal conspiracy to commit soliciting for prostitutes, and trafficking of children for sexual purposes. A warrant has also been obtained for the arrest of 28-year-old Gregory Hardin who is believed to have conspired with Marshall to prostitute the 14-year-old. Hardin, of 3836 Addis Lane in Addis, remains at large and is wanted by Ascension Parish authorities on charges of criminal conspiracy to commit soliciting to prostitutes, criminal conspiracy to commit prostitution with persons under the age of 18, and trafficking of children for sexual purposes. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Hardin is urged to contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office at 225-621-INFO (4636) or by texting 847411 to our anonymous tip line from any cellular device or Crime Stoppers at 225-344-STOP (7867).
