The Bastrop Police Department is looking for information regarding a homicide which took place around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night.

The Department received numerous calls concerning gun shots being fired in the Summerlin Lane area, followed by a caller who stated someone had been shot. When officers arrived on Summerlin Lane, they found 39 year old Lunnell Britton deceased in a driveway. Britton had apparently received numerous gun shots, causing his death.

Officers immediately began canvassing the area and witnesses described a black or dark colored four door sedan with the body style of a Ford Crown Victoria or a Chevrolet Impala seen leaving the area.

"At this time, we have no suspects and are continuing our investigation," BPD Chief Downey Black said.
