  • Detectives with the Bastrop Police Department are working several burglaries and are looking for information regarding merchandise taken and those responsible.
    On Oct. 27, a report was received regarding a burglary on Bentley Ave. Among the items taken was a shotgun.
  • Also on Oct. 27, a complaint was received regarding the theft of a refrigerator, stove and heater from a residence on Collins.
  • On Oct. 24, a break-in at the Bastrop High School stadium resulted in the theft of large amounts of candy from the concession stand.
  • On that same date, a residence on the Collinston Road was broken into and a 50" Sanyo television and a Gateway computer was taken.
  • Also on the 24th, a 50" Emerson television was taken from a residence on Fairfield.
  • On Oct. 11, a vehicle parked at the BHS stadium was broken into and a Jimenez 9mm handgun and a Dell laptop taken.
Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office investigators are looking for information regarding a set of black, polished ITP rims with 33" Terminator tires valued at $1,700. Information they have received suggests the tires and rims were sold to someone in the Sav-U-More parking lot. If the items are located, person(s) in possession of them may be charged with possession of stolen property

Also, anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects shown on page 2, may call Crimestoppers with that information. Crimestoppers will pay up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in felony cases.
