The year end finals for the North Louisiana Rodeo Association will be held this weekend, Oct. 25 and 26 at the MAC.
Friday night the gates will open at 5 p.m. and Messengers for Jesus, a country gospel band will play at 6 p.m. The rodeo will kick off at 7 p.m. There will be a free youth halloween costume contest and any youth may participate but, horse and rider must be in costume. The "Mane Event" drill team will also perform.
The action will begin at noon Saturday, with Messengers of Jesus performing at 1 p.m. This day has been designated as "Tuff Enough to Wear Pink" day and those planning to attend are asked to wear pink."The Outlaws of the Rodeo" drill team will also perform.
"Although this is our finals, anyone who wants to come out and compete are invited to do so," Jessica Everett, event coordinator said. "We will have events for all ages, including mutton bustin' and goat ribbon pulling."
Others events slated are barrels, poles, roping and bulls. Both performances will include the crowd favorites, peewee bulls, peewee bareback and ranch bronc riding.
