Five convenient stores clerks were arrested last night after selling alcohol to minors according to Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Tony Bacala. Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives teamed up with two 17-year-olds who went into 27 local convenience stores and attempted to purchase alcoholic beverages. At five of those stores, the minors were able to make purchases. The individuals who were arrested for selling alcohol to the 17-year-olds were each issued summons for Unlawful Sale to Persons under 21. Those individuals are: Kyle Sheets, 47, of 13185 Gold Place Drive, St. Amant . LaTaunya Cage, 30, 41149 Highway 429, Prairieville. Dana Brown, 34, of 12322 Dutchtown Lane, 14, Geismar. Laterrika Sanders, 21, of 184 Graisaffe Lane, Belle Rose. Ryan Avrill, 20, of 40417 Adele Street, Gonzales. The stores from which alcohol was purchased by the 17-year-olds were: Top Fuel, 13357 Airline Highway, Gonzales Dutchtown Tiger Mart, 13475 Highway 73, Chips II Grocery, 15530 Highway 44, Gonzales Triple S, 44429 Highway 429, St. Amant Rende’s Quick Stop, 10032 Airline Highway, Gonzales.
