Six different players scored touchdowns as the River Oaks Mustangs blanked Prairie View 43-0 Friday night, spoiling the Spartans' Senior Night.
In control from the outset, the visitors opened up an 18-0 first quarter lead.
Jacob Griggs opened the scoring with a 14-yard run, B.C. Alexander added a 15-yard scamper and Taylor Tindall hauled in a 19-yard pass from Brendan MacGregor.
River Oaks padded its lead to 33-0 at halftime on Garrett Morgan's 52-yard run and a 1-yard burst from Cody McMillan.
Will Harrop's 2-yard run and Ryan Moore's 20-yard field goal in the third period wrapped up the scoring.
River Oaks accumulated 371 yards (287 rushing, 84 passing) of total offense.
MacGregor completed three passes for 84 yards, all to Tindall.
Griggs (6 carries, 65 yards, 1 TD), Morgan (3-58-1) and Drake Porter (5-49) led the Mustangs' balanced running attack.
Adam Stewart logged 12 tackles and a stop in the backfield as the Mustangs registered their third shutout of the season. MacGregor and Tindall both intercepted passes.
Prairie View produced 267 yards (139 passing, 128 rushing) offensively.
Dylan Carroll completed seven passes, including three to Hunter Green for 80 yards and two to Lucas Crockett for 22. Hunter Carpenter rushed for 83 yards on 16 carries.
Topping the Spartans' tackle chart was Layne Gray with 12 stops. Green was next with nine tackles, followed by Carpenter with seven tackles and two tackles for loss, Crockett with six tackles and a sack and Nolan Whorton with four tackles and a sack.
Prairie View (2-7, 0-2) closes out the season Friday night in Minden vs. Glenbrook (6-3, 1-1), while River Oaks (5-4, 2-0) can clinch the MAIS District 3-2A title at home with a victory over Riverfield (7-2, 1-1).
