      Dress-Up Days at BHS
      HOMECOMINGWEEK
      Students are reminded that they must stay in compliance with the general dress code rules.
      • Monday is Candy Day. Students may represent the following candies:
              Freshmen - Baby Ruth (wear favorite sports uniform/gear)
              Sophomore - Starburst (dress as favorite star)
               Junior - M&M’s (dress in hip-hop style, but no sagging will be allowed)
                Seniors - Smarties (dress as nerds)
      • Tuesday is Dress to Impress Day. This is coronation day and students may wear dress clothes such as pants suits, dress shirts and ties or dresses. No spaghetti strap or strapless dresses may be worn unless a jacket is worn over the dress. Also, dresses can not be higher than six inches above the knee. No jeans of any kind or color are allowed.
      • Wednesday is Twin Day. Students may dress just like someone else and be twins for the day. Jeans are allowed, but may not have holes or torn areas.
      • Thursday is Costume Day. Students may dress in any appropriate costume.
      • Friday is Color Wars Day. Students may paint their faces and dress according to the following:
           Freshmen - Royal blue
           Sophomore - White
           Junior - Navy blue
           Seniors - Red
      Students not participating in the daily dress-up theme days must wear school uniforms.
  • "Sweet Victory" is the chosen theme for the 2013 Bastrop High School Homecoming week, which is Oct. 7 -11, and will culminate in the football game, with the Rams playing the Union Parish Farmers.
    There will be activities held during the week and students will be allowed to dress according to the theme of the day.
    Reigning over the activities will be the 2013 Homecoming Court, with the Queen and Maid of Honor to be named at a Coronation Ceremony at 9 a.m. Oct. 8 in the school's auditorium.
    Representing their classes on the court are seniors Kiyana Brooks, Raven Garrison, Caitlyn Goodman and Allison Williams; juniors Julie Claire Patrick and Carliya Trotter; sophomores Sydney Johnwell and Laura Patrick and freshmen Flor'Annicia Barnes and Kali Brodnax.
    Kiyana Breisha Brooks is the daughter of Jawanna Brooks and Eugene Lansangan. She is a member of the Beta Club and the Explorer's Club. Her future plans are to attend Louisiana State University and major in business management. Kiyana hopes to own her own business one day.
    Raven Symone Garrison is the daughter of Piearce and Sheneka Frazier. She is a member of the varsity cheerleaders, the Beta Club and Mu Sigma. Raven plans to continue her education and become a psychiatrist.
    Caitlyn Michelle Goodman is the daughter of Jimmy and Cassidy Goodman. She plans to continue her education and become a pediatric nurse.
    Allison Paige Williams is the daughter of Sam and Toni Williams. She is a member of the Beta Club, the Explorer's Club, the Fellowship of Christian Students, JROTC and the Pep Squad. She is also on the newspaper staff and the Prom committee. Caitlyn plans to attend Louisiana State University at Lafayette and major in political science. She then plans to attend law school, become a lawyer and be a Supreme Court Judge.
    Julie-Claire Patrick is the daughter of Barry and Nancy Patrick. She is a member of Mu Sigma and the Beta Club. She is also a member of the tennis team. Julie-Claire plans to become a beautician.
    Carliya Dan'Yel Trotter is the daughter of Carlos and Shonnie Trotter. She is a member of the Beta Honor Society, the Explorer's Club, Mu Sigma, Alpha Kappa Alpha Cinderella Guidance Clinic and is a varsity cheerleader. Carliya plans to attend Louisiana State University in Alexandria and become a nurse practitioner.
    Sydney Avashia Johnwell is the daughter of Nicole Johnwell and the granddaughter of Clifton and Gertie Johnwell. She is a member of the Beta Club. Sydney plans to attend Louisiana State University and major in the medical field.
    Laura Ann Patrick is the daughter of Carl and Dawn Patrick. She is a member of the varsity cheerleaders. Laura plans to attend beauty school and become a beautician.
    Page 2 of 2 - Flor'Annicia Barnes is the daughter of Trevor Barnes and Semiko Wells. She plans to attend Louisiana State University and then law school.
    Kali Cheyenne Brodnax is the daughter of Tina Brodnax. She plans to continue her education after graduation by attending college.
