      Prairie View Academy Homecoming Week Activities
      Oct. 1 will be Senior Citizen Day. Students may dress as senior citizens
      Oct. 2 will be Celebrity/Cartoon Day. Students may dress as their favorite celebrity or cartoon character.
      Oct. 3 will be Color Wars Day. Each class may dress in the following designated colors:
      • Pre-K, first grade and seventh grade - green
      • Kindergarten, second grade and eighth grade - orange
      • Third and ninth grades - red
      • Fourth and tenth grades - white
      • Fifth and eleventh grades - blue
      • Sixth and twelfth grades - black
      Oct. 4 will be Purple and Gold Day. Students may wear these colors or a Homecoming t-shirt. The Homecoming Pep Rally will be held at 10 a.m. and the Homecoming Football game will begin at 7 p.m.
  • The 2013 - 2014 Prairie View Academy Homecoming Queen and her Court have been announced and will reign over Homecoming activities slated for Oct. 1 through 5.
    Krista Brooke Boseman was chosen by the student board as Homecoming Queen. She is the daughter of Kelly and Angie Boseman of Bastrop and has one brother, Kolton and a twin sister, Kristen.
    Krista, who is a senior and has attended PVA for 10 years, is very active as a cheerleader and a member of the National Honor Society. She attends Bonita Road Baptist Church. After graduation, Krista plans to attend the University of Louisiana at Monroe and major in nursing.
    Chosen as the Maid of Honor is PVA senior Erica Casey Guerrero. She is the daughter of Benny and Tammy Guerrero and the big sister of John Major Guerrero.
    Erica is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, the Lady Spartans softball and basketball teams. She is also a varsity cheerleader. She attends Goodwill Church of God. Erica plans to attend Louisiana Tech University following graduation.
    The Senior Maid is Jordan Meredith Caldwell, the daughter of Jeff and Tonya Caldwell, She has an older brother, Landon.
    Jordan is the president of the Fellowship of Christian Students and is a member of the National Honor Society and the Student Council. She serves as the senior class President and was the recipient of the "I Dare You" and the Honesty and Integrity awards. She attends Christ Episcopal Church. Jordan's future plans include attending the University of Louisiana at Monroe and majoring in biology. She then plans to attend Louisiana State University to study orthodontics.
    Maria Madelyn Roberts was chosen by her class to be the Junior Maid. She is the daughter of Pancho Roberts and Julie Goodson and she has one brother, Alex.
    Maria is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Students and the National Honor Society, where she serves as co-historian. She attends Bonne Idee Assembly of God Church. Her future plans are to attend the University of Louisiana at Monroe and become a registered nurse.
    The Sophomore class chose Victoria Leigh Domino as their Sophomore Maid. She is the daughter of Jeremy and Amanda Hogan. Victoria has attended PVA since pre-kindergarten and is a varsity cheerleader. She is also a member of the Lady Spartan softball and basketball teams and Student Council. She attends North Monroe Baptist Church in Bastrop. Victoria plans to further her education and become a dentist.
    Payton Elizabeth Simone, the daughter of Jeff Simone and Shelly Copeland, is the Freshman Maid. She has attended PVA since the first grade and is a member of the Junior National Honor Society and the Fellowship of Christian Students. She attends Cherry Ridge Baptist Church. After high school, Payton plans to attend college and become a labor and delivery nurse.
    Page 2 of 2 - The 2013 PVA Football Sweetheart is Kristin Taylor Boseman, the twin sister of Queen Krista Boseman, the daughter of Kelly and Angie Boseman and sister of Kolton. She is a varsity cheerleader and has been named as an All American Cheerleader four times. She also received the Leadership award by her peers at cheer camp this year. Kristin is a member of the National Honor Society and played on the Lady Spartans softball team. She attends Gateway Assembly of God church. Kristin represented her class as the 2010 Freshman Maid and plans to attend college and study in the medical field.
    The Queen and her Court will be presented at a pep rally at 10 a.m. Oct. 4 in the school's gymnasium.
