Producing the first 100-yard receiving game of his NFL career, Rueben Randle caught five passes for 101 yards in the New York Giants' 36-31 season-opening loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night.
Randle, the former Bastrop High All-American, also returned four punts for 20 yards.
As a rookie last season, Randle set career highs with a six-catch, 82-yard effort against the Cleveland Browns.
Randle was matched against his friend and former LSU teammate, Morris Claiborne, at times on Sunday night. Claiborne, a former Shreveport Fair Park standout, totaled three tackles.
Denver visits the Giants on Sunday at 3:25 p.m. in the much ballyhooed battle of the Mannings.
UCA: Former Rams RaDarius “Nook” Winston, Jay Wilson and Earl Ross Downs all saw action in Central Arkansas' 38-24 loss at Colorado on Saturday.
Winston recorded five tackles and broke up a pass, while Wilson caught four passes for 21 yards.

LEGAUX INJURED: Cincinnati coach Tommy Tuberville confirmed Monday that senior quarterback Munchie Legaux is out for the year. Tuberville did not provide specific details. Legaux, an Edna Karr product, was carted off the field in the fourth quarter of the Bearcats' 45-17 loss to Illinois.
