Funeral services for Mr. Carl Earl Lindeman of Bastrop will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2011 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. The Reverend Andy Myrick will officiate the services. Interment with military honors will follow at the Carter Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until time of service Wednesday, Sept.11, 2013 at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.
Carl Earl Lindeman was born near Alto on Dec. 10, 1923 to the late John Will Lindeman and Maudie Little Lindeman. He passed away on Sept. 9, 2013 at the Cherry Ridge Guest Care Center in Bastrop. Mr. Lindeman was a veteran of the United States Army. He served with the 316th Combat Engineers in the 91st Division in both the African and European Theatre during World War II. He was the recipient of three bronze stars for his service and sacrifice. Mr. Lindeman retired after 43 years of employment with International Paper Company. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rena Lorine Oldham Lindeman; his daughter, Karlynn Sanders and a brother, Avole Lindeman.
Mr. Lindeman is survived by his son-in-law, Paul Sanders and grandsons, Jason Paul Sanders and Justin Carl Sanders; a great-granddaughter, Jacelyn Sanders; special nephew, Jerry Jones and his wife, Shelley Jones; niece, Pam Jones Lee and her husband, Van Lee; nephew, Bobby Jones and his wife, Carol Jones and nephew, Kenneth Earl Lindeman and his wife, Sue Lindeman.
Serving as pallbearers are Duncan M. Jones, Shawn Ouellette, Derek Ouellette, Jerry Rhodes, Neal Johnson and Mike Ruddick.
