Future home of Fort Hero needs some TLC

An informational meeting regarding the Fort Hero Veterans' Barracks is slated to be held next week at Dotson Park.
Al Sanders, president of the North East Louisiana Veterans' Association said the meeting would be used as a time to inform the community about projects that are scheduled for the Home and give those who can help with the projects an opportunity to volunteer.
"We have several things to do before the Barracks can be opened and we need skilled laborers to help," Sanders said. "For instance, we need a brick layer to help us with areas where air conditioning units once sat. We have the bricks, we just need someone to install them."
N.E.L.V.A. will host the meeting at 6 p.m. Sept. 9 in the gymnasium of Dotson Park and asks that anyone willing to help attend. They are looking specifically for:
