CANEY LAKE — Some bass are schooling and hitting shad imitations when they’re up top. Some bigger fish are fair fishing Carolina-rigs on the long points with a few caught at night on dark spinners and worms fished on the humps. LAKE CLAIBORNE — Striper fishing has been fair to good, especially before sunup with topwaters picking up some fish. Later in the day, some are being caught trolling white bucktails. Bass fishing has been fair at night around the lighted piers but most are running rather small. Bream fishing is fair while catfishing has been good on just about any bait. LAKE D’ARBONNE — The bream and catfish continue to be biting quite well fishing cold worms, night crawlers or crickets off the banks or on the flats. Crappie have been fair up Little D’Arbonne and Corney Creeks fishing jigs fairly shallow while some are being caught in the heat of the day in deep water.
