Claiborne Academy's first nine batters reached safely during a seven-run fourth inning as the Lady Rebels ousted Prairie View from its own tournament Saturday afternoon.
Prairie View finished 1-2 in the tournament, losing to Glenbrook 5-1, blanking River Oaks 9-0 and bowing to Claiborne 9-4.
Opening district play on Monday, the Lady Spartans (5-13) travel to Riverfield. Game times are 5 p.m. (JV) and 6.

Trailing 4-2, the Lady Rebels exploded for seven runs in the top of the fourth on four hits, three errors and a walk.
Madison Butler's RBI single tied the game. Next up, Shannon Cessna cranked a three-run triple to give the visitors their first lead. Megan Parham singled Cessna across and later scored on a wild pitch to put Claiborne in command 9-4.
Prairie View grabbed an early 3-0 with the help of a pair of two-out errors.
Jeri Harper walked and Erika Guerrero singled to start the inning. Both runners scored as Haley Yarborough reached on a an error. After Tessa Boykin walked, Alexus DeBlieux was safe on a misplay, putting the Lady Spartans up 3-0.
Stringing together consecutive two-out singles by Madison Butler, Cessna, Parham and Katelyn Butler, the Lady Rebels closed the gap to 3-2 in the third.
Prairie View got one of the runs back in its half of the third as Bailey Ryder tripled down the right field line and scored on Erika Guerrero's groundout.
Cessna picked up the win in the circle and went 2-for-3 with two runs scored to lead the Lady Rebels' 10-hit attack. Parham was 3-for-3 with two RBI, Madison Butler was 2-for-2 and Millicent Butler, Katelyn Butler and Taylor Lento singled.
Ryder tripled and Guerrero and Katie Bryan singled for the Lady Spartans.
Prairie View third baseman Haley Yarborough left the game with a knee injury in the top of the fourth.
