First Assembly of God helda Back to School Bash for kids ages 5 to 12.

On the Bash's first night, about 15 children were in attendance to participate in the planned activities and bible study. “I want them to have fun and have a good time,” Pastor Ezra Cook said. “But my goal is to teach them and lead them to Jesus Christ.” The event started off from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 1 and followed the same schedule on Aug. 2. The kids had a bible lesson, music, crafts and a light meal both days. The kids got to sing songs, listen to a bible story, paint and color. On the agenda for Aug. 3 was a Fun Day from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The kidshad a Bible lesson, but instead of crafts, they got to play on an 18-foot double-drop water slide. The activity was followed by a pizza lunch. Kids attending were told they should bring a towel and a change of clothes. First Assembly of God is located at 10678 Crossett Rd.
