A Bonita man is listed in serious condition following an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound.
Morehouse Parish Sheriff Mike Tubbs confirmed that a call was received around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday night regarding shots being fired at an apartment complex on Boswell Street. As deputies were en route to the scene, they were flagged down by a person who had Tomaso M. Hollinquest, 22, in her vehicle. Hollinquest was bleeding from an abdominal wound and was transported to Morehouse General Hospital by Med-Life Ambulance. Witness statements indicate Hollinquest fired a shot inside his apartment and then turned the handgun on himself. Investigators continue to look into the incident as well as talk to witnesses. Tubbs also said investigators had taken 20 year old L'Darrius Bolden into custody in connection with numerous vehicle burglaries in the Oveta Hill subdivision as well as the surrounding area. "Investigators have been working diligently to clear up these burglaries and with the arrest of Bolden, we should be able to bring closure to numerous complaints," Tubbs said. Bolden, who was arrested earlier this year for several vehicular burglaries, is being charged on numerous counts of burglary and will appear before a judge today for bond requirements.
