  • VPSO announces narcotics arrests

    The Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested several individuals on narcotics charges in unrelated incidents.
    Sarah M. Jones, 32, of Alexandria, was charged with one count each of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a Schedule I controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession of a Schedule II CDS and possession of a Schedule IV CDS on July 18. She remains incarcerated on $31,000 bond.
    Lacey Jo Crossland, 27, of Vick, was charged with possession of marijuana — second offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a Schedule I CDS — second offense, possession of a Schedule II CDS, and possession of a Schedule IV CDS on July 18. She was released the following day after posting $31,000 bond.
    Ricky L. Bretherton, 41, of Leesville, was arrested on July 19 and charged with possession of a Schedule I CDS — second offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and illegal possession of a firearm while in possession of a CDS. His bond was set at $11,000, and he bonded out.
    Kimberly S. Redden, 34, of Leesville, was arrested on July 19 and charged with possession of a Schedule I CDS and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $6,000, and she has since bonded.
    Tonya Davis, 33, of Leesville, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and misrepresentation during issuance of a misdemeanor on July 22. Her bond was set at $2,350, and a hold was placed by her by the Leesville City Marshall's Office and also by San Jacinto County in Texas.
    Catherine L. McDaniel, 54, of New Llano, was arrested July 23 and charged with possession of a Schedule III CDS, exploitation of an infirmed person, and theft of assets of an aged or disabled person. Her bond was set at $13,500, and she remains in the parish jail.
