Brian Shoemaker said officers worked diligently over the weekend to find the missing items reported stolen last week. Officers working the case included Maj. Rose Worley, Inv. Mitch JessLink, Inv. Brian Rainbolt, Lt. Tyree Rowden, Sgt. Chris Thirdkill, and Deputies Willie Lacy and John Lewis. Chief Investigator Worley said reports came in that potential suspects were riding around at midnight in certain areas. Officers rode around the parish looking for four-wheeler tracks. The missing ATVs were finally located in different areas. Three were found on Highway 139. One was found on Railroad Street and another on Jackson Street. The one found on Jackson was the only one to have been found with serious damage. It was found flipped over in a ditch. The first suspect was arrested on Friday with the last suspect being brought into custody on Monday. Seven arrests were made in total, including two juveniles. Johnte Bowie, 511 Highland St., was charged with possession of stolen property, two counts contributing to delinquency of a juvenile and two counts felony theft. Christopher Givens, Carbon Plant, was charged with two counts contributing to delinquency of a juvenile, possession of stolen property and felony theft. Eric Edmonds, 1225 Elm St., was charged with possession of stolen property, two counts contributing to delinquency of a juvenile and felony theft. Sirvoria Swinson, 115 N. Alvin, was charged with two counts contributing to delinquency of a juvenile and possession of stolen property. Elizajahowan Johnson, Apt #10 Trichel Rd., Swartz, was charged with two counts contributing to the delinquency of a minor, two counts felony theft and illegal possession of stolen things.
