Students began their first day by learning the basics including proper techniques, spotting, stretching and kicking. Thirteen girls showed up that first day with another girl expected to join later in the week.
“We should have a good size group,” dance line sponsor Terri Jo Churchwell said.
Dellanee Wade is their choreographer. Wade will be teaching the students their routines and getting them ready to perform at games.
Tryouts will be held at 10 a.m. July 1.
