Morehouse Black Farmers and Landowners Association, Inc. had two camps this summer to mentor young children about agriculture.

The first camp was held in Polluck on May 22 through 30. The camp was organized by the 4H. The second camp, the Family and Youth Expo, was a Southern Ag function that was held in June and sponsored by Morehouse Parish. Both camps had four Morehouse Parish children attending making a total of eight kids who were able to attend a camp. The farmers also have taken on mentoring children in agriculture during the summer while school is out.

The Morehouse Black Farmers and Landowners Association will have its annual field day at Harper Armstrong's shop at 8 a.m July 19.
