  • Waste Management of Louisiana joined the Arrowhead Junior Golf Tour as a major sponsor of the Carter Plantation Tournament in Springfield.
"The Arrowhead Junior Golf Tour is a great event that gives 11- to 18-year-old boys and girls an opportunity to compete with the best young golfers in the region," said David Mason, Waste Management's senior district manager, landfill operations. "The Carter Plantation/Arrowhead Junior Golf Tournament provides Waste Management a great opportunity to expand our community partnerships. The tournament in Livingston Parish is an important part of the Junior Tour that attracts many young golfers to this part of Louisiana."
Carter Plantation Tournament Director Bill Caldwell said 60-80 golfers competed in this year's tournament in Springfield on June 18-19. The Arrowhead Junior Golf Tour included players from Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Texas.
"Waste Management and our other sponsors make it possible for young players from around this region of the country to compete in top-notch tournaments that help sharpen their golf and other skills," said Caldwell. "We thank our sponsors for their support of young athletes."
