The long arm of the law caught up with an Arkansas women wanted by the Bastrop Police Department.
In September, 2012, the department received a complaint from a local business regarding the passing of two fictitious checks. Investigation into the complaint revealed one of the suspects to be Hequeena P. Jones, 205 Elm Hurst, Hot Springs, Ark.
On May 8, the Polaski County Sheriff's Department had contact with Jones and a check of her name revealed a warrant for bank fraud and a warrant for conspiracy to commit bank fraud through the Bastrop Police Department. Jones was arrested on the warrants and placed in jail in Little Rock, where she waived extradition.
She was transported to the Morehouse Parish jail over the weekend for the charges and remains behind bars with a $50,000 bond for the bank fraud and a $25,000 bond for the conspiracy charge.
