The nuns are coming back to the Rose.
Nunset Boulevard will be performed at 7 p.m. June 21, 22, 28 and 29 and 2 p.m. June 23 and 30. This will be the last performance for the 2012-2013 membership or season.
The show is a musical comedy about five nuns, the Little Sisters of Hoboken, N.J. The sisters are invited to sing at the Hollywood Bowl, but are surprised to find out they are booked at the Hollywood Bowl-A-Rama, a bowling alley with a cabaret lounge. While there, they learn that the famed movie producer, James Todd, is across the street auditioning for roles in his new movie musical, "Nunset Boulavard: A Song from the Hart," about the life of Dolores Hart, the famous movie star who became a nun. During their show's intermission, they race off to audition thinking they would be naturals for the part.
The cast is comprised of Patricia Kuethe, Cindy Scott, Donna Edwards, Lori DiGiulian and Anna Lokey. The live band is made up of Greg Oden, Kristen Oden, Charles DiGiulian, Robin Baggarly and Frank Saunders.
