Morehouse Economic Development Office, U.S. Small Business Administration and the University of Louisiana at Monroe are working together to offer counseling and a workshop for small businesses.
From 1 to 4 p.m. June 13, counseling for small business owners and people interested in starting a business will be held at the Morehouse Economic Development Office inside the Capitol One Bank Building at 101 S. Franklin. The counseling will be organized by private appointment.
“I encourage people to take advantage of this, whether they have an idea for a business or they just want to increase the sales for their business,” Director of Morehouse Economic Development Corporation Kay King.
From 6 to 8 p.m. June 27, there will be a workshop at the Bastrop Visitor's Center. The workshop is recommended for anyone who has a business idea, is planning to start or has just started a small business, expanding their business, seeking a business loan or wanting to learn more about planning. The workshop will cover business feasibility, business planning, sources of funds for start-up and expansion, small business resources and required licenses. There is no charge to attend the workshop.
