What could have been. … Mindy Crandell, 34, of Florida was in line to buy a ticket for the $590 million Powerball jackpot when the woman who won the lottery cut in line. The cashier noticed and offered Crandell a chance to reclaim her spot in line, but she allowed the 84-year-old Gloria Mackenzie to go ahead. She then bought one Powerball ticket - the winner.
The big movies opening this weekend are “The Internship,” a PG-13 comedy starring Rose Byrne, Owen Wilson, Dylan O'Brien and Vince Vaughn; “The Purge,” an R horror film starring Ethan Hawke; and “Much Ado About Nothing,” director Joss Whedon’s take on the Shakespeare classic.
