The LSU College of Human Sciences and Education School of Social Work recently held its 75th Anniversary Celebration at the LOD Cook Alumni Center in Baton Rouge. Daphne Cain, School of Social Work Interim Director, recognized 75 of the alumni who have excelled in the field of social work. The highlight of the event was the naming of the eight distinguished honorees as alumni of each decade. John Gum, Jr., a resident of Plaquemine, was named Alumni of the Decade 1960s for his work in the social field and support of the LSU School of Social Work.
