The Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating several area burglaries and is asking for the public's help.
Over the past several days, thefts have occured in the Syble Drive area, on the Cherry Ridge Road, on Trevor Road, in the Viola Carroll/Hughes Chapel Road area and on Gerard Road.
On May 4, a residental burglary was reported from a homeowner on Trevor Road. Items taken were a Haier humintifer, a Behr beard trimmer, a blue couch cover and eight guns. The guns were described as a camoflaged muzzleloader, a black muzzleloader, a 17 HMR Savage riffle with a Bushnell scope, a Remington 870 Express, a single shot 12 gauge, a pink Daisy bb gun, a 380 nickleplated Lorcin and a Glock 9 mm. On that same date on the Cherry Ridge Road, $300 cash and five packages of various meat was taken from a residence.
In the early morning hours of May 5, a report was made of two white males seen rummaging through a vehicle on Viola Carroll Road and a hunting camp was broken into and three vehicles burglarized with various items reported missing.
On May 6, two goats were stolen from the Syble Drive area. They are described as being black and white and black and brown in color. A theft of diesel was reported from the area of Gerard Road.
The Bastrop Police Department is also asking for information regarding a wanted person.
Devestavious McHenry, 18 year old black male, is wanted for felony charges of possession of stolen property.
