Any child between the ages of 4 and 15 are eligible to enter the contest, which is broken into three age groups: ages 4 through 7; ages 8 through 11 and ages 12 through 15. The four fish categories eligible for entries are bream, bass, white perch and trash fish, which includes any other fish not listed.
"We hold this tournament to encourage adults to take kids fishing and experience how much fun it is," said Bass Club President Mike Baker.
The tournament will held from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. May 25 and each child must register between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. Winners will be determined by the largest fish in each category and all children will receive a trophy. Door prizes will also be given and there will be free hot dogs and drinks for entrants.
Each child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 21 and the entry fee is $6 per child.
