  • Lara, along with her Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Cadet Command Sgt. Major Jamal Hill, led the JROTC to place first in unarmed exhibition drill, third in unarmed regulation drill, third in armed regulation drill and fourth in overall inspection of cadets at a competition in Little Rock, Ark. in May. They competed against 15 other JROTC programs from Arkansas.
    The battalion-sized organization is comprised of approximately 160 cadets, with four companies having two platoons each.
