Catherine and Caroline Buchan placed sixth and 18th, respectively, in the Regional Tournament on Wednesday in Alexandria.

Catherine and Caroline Buchan will represent Sterlington High School in the Division II girls State Golf Tournament Wednesday.
Catherine Buchan, a senior, shot 105 to finish sixth in the Division II/Region I Tournament on Wednesday at Links on the Bayou in Alexandria. Caroline Buchan, a freshman, was 18th with a score of 140.
The Buchan sisters' collective score of 245 was good for third place in the team standings. Alexandria Menard edged out Crowley Notre Dame 206-208 for the team trophy. Rounding out the top six teams were Castor with 252, Bell City at 278 and Many with 280.
Lana Hodge of Ouachita Christian fired a 78 to earn medalist honors. Aofie O'Donvon of St. Frederick was seventh at 107.
The State Tournament will be played Monday-Thursday at East Ridge Country Club in Shreveport.
Catherine Buchan, O'Donovan and Addie Henzel of Menard will tee off at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday.
Caroline Buchan's group, which also includes Lindsey Ware of Castor and Trepagnier Martin of McGhee, have an 11:10 tee time on Wednesday.
