A Morehouse man is listed in critical condition following an accident Monday night.
The Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office received a call at 8:07 p.m. Monday night regarding a 4-wheeler accident on the Old Berlin Rd. When the deputy arrived in the area, he could not see where an accident took place. As he headed up the Old Bonita Rd., towards Bastrop, he saw a private vehicle meeting Med-Life Ambulance. The man, identified as Joshua Sanders, 20, was transported via ambulance to the helipad, where he was flown to Rapides General Hospital in Alexandria.

Preliminary investigation into the accident shows Sanders was apparently riding a 4-wheeler with two juveniles on the Old Berlin Rd. and traffic was coming in both the north bound and south bound lanes. Sanders, for reasons unknown at this time, jumped off the moving ATV, landing in the north bound lane. An on-sight witness stated he saw Sanders rolling across the highway.

One of the juveniles riding the 4-wheeler called her parent, a nurse, who initially began transporting Sanders, before meeting the ambulance.

The case continues to be under investigation.
