A convicted felon is headed to back to prison after pleading guilty to several drug related charges.
Morehouse Parish First Assistant District Attorney Steven Sylvester said Keith Dowles, 41 entered the guilty please to one count of distribution of cocaine, one count of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon April 16 in Fourth Judicial District Court.
Presiding District Judge James Boddie sentenced Dowles to 25 years at hard labor on each of the drug charges and 20 years of hard labor without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence on each firearm charge. The sentences are to run concurrently.
Sylvester said these sentences resolve several cases worked by the Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office.
