After two rainouts, Bastrop and Franklin Parish will now play its District 2-4A baseball series on Saturday and Sunday.
The schedule for the Bastrop-Franklin Parish series has been adjusted yet again.
After being postponed Thursday and Friday due to rain, the revised schedule has the Rams visiting the Patriots for Game 1 on Saturday at 2 p.m. Games 2 and 3 will be played at Baron Ballpark on Sunday, starting at 2 p.m. Bastrop will observe Senior Day between games of Sunday's double header. Seniors Cade Cantrell, Ty Cantrell, Morgan Edmonds, Khalil Key and Joergan Salen will be recognized during a brief ceremony.
Bastrop will send sophomore righthander Chase Cockrell to the mound Saturday, with sophomore righthander Kyle Perkins drawing the starting assignment for Game 2. The Rams' Game 3 starter has yet to be determined.
Stakes in the weekend series are high for both teams. Bastrop (10-16, 4-5) is No. 26 in the Louisiana High School Athletic Association power rankings, while the Patriots (8-20, 3-6) stand at No. 35.
