Six Sterlington High athletes have been named to the LHSAA's composite (all classes) Academic All-State Team in spring sports.

Sterlington is well-represented on the LHSAA's composite spring sports Academic All-State teams with six selections.

The composite teams include senior athletes who have maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average throughout their high school careers.

Sterlington's honorees include Katherine Antis (girls track), Catherine Buchan (girls golf), Sarah Gandy (softball), Matthew McHenry (boys golf), Taylor Lockwood (baseball) and Jennifer Threlkeld (tennis).

Other Ouachita Parish athletes receiving composite Academic All-State recognition include:

Baseball — Michael Mims, Logan Murry, Dillon Walker and Hunter Williams, West Monroe; Jacob Blake and Taijuan Thomas, Ouachita; Greg Long, St. Frederick; Hunter Stone, Neville; Colby Webb, Ouachita Christian.

Boys Golf — Grant Gallien, West Monroe.

Softball — Anna Powell and Kristina Ramsey, Ouachita; and Haley Hayden, West Monroe.

Boys Tennis — Hayden Anthony, Ouachita Christian; Drew Johnson, St. Frederick; Austin Knies, West Monroe; and Andrew Scalia, Ouachita.

Girls Tennis — Brigitte Barnes, Ouachita Christian.

Boys Track — Taijuan Thomas, Ouachita.

Girls Track — Ayanna Griffin, West Ouachita; Lateshia Moran, Richwood; and Camille Reffett, Ouachita Christian.
