Coterie hostesses Mary Emma Barham, Jamie Brodie and Mary Helen Turpin recently welcomed members into a spring-time setting at Etc. Catering. An Easter egg tree was the focal point with spring bulbs and bunnies on each table.
Members enjoyed a delicious lunch of chicken loaf, fresh asparagus, glazed fruit and cheese biscuits followed by Mandarin orange cake and coffee.
Club President Mary Emma Barham presided over the annual business meeting, followed by a program presented by Sylvia Shepard. She gave an interesting review of the Follette Pottery, which is located about seven miles from Ruston. It was founded by Kent Follette in 1976 and he, along with his artistic wife, Libby, still run the pottery store. Their colorful porcelain wares are shipped all over the United States. Sylvia had several pieces for members for members to examine.
In addition to the hostesses, those present included Mrs. Alfred Barham, Mrs. John Bentley, Mrs. Jim Brown, Mrs. William Davenport, Mrs. Steve Gilliken, Mrs. Goodwin Gladney, Mrs. Robert Gladney, Mrs. Daniel Harris, Mrs. Tony Haynes, Mrs. Boyd Holley, Mrs. Stephen Katz, Mrs. Frank Phelps, Mrs. Alex Rankin, Mrs. Lorna Lynn Rolfe and Mrs. G.L. Shepard.
