All-District 2-4A Boys Basketball Team

Wossman's Laquinton Collins and Bastrop guard Jay Wilson are repeat first-team selections on the All-District 2-4A basketball team.

Collins, who helped the Wildcats to a share of the district championship, edged out Wilson for the Most Valuable Player award.

Phillip Craig of district co-champion Neville is Coach of the Year.

Neville and Wossman finished conference play with identical 7-1 records. In a playoff game to determine the No. 1 seed for the state playoffs, the Tigers nipped the Wildcats 68-67.

Wilson led the Rams in scoring with 19 points per game on 68 3-point buckets. The 5-8 senior also paced the team in steals with 3.8. A Central Arkansas football signee as a wide receiver, Wilson is also a two-time, first-team All-District football honoree.

Kevontae Turpin (11.3 points per game) and Laurence Jones (12.2 ppg, 8.6 rebounds) of Neville and Clay Jones of West Ouachita round out the first team.

Bastrop's LeMicah Harris, a 5-11 junior guard, was named to the second team after averaging 12.3 points per game and shooting a team-high 73 percent from the free throw line.

Joining Harris on the second team are Jaymon Green and Montrell Etson of Wossman, Kylon Highshaw of Neville and Reginald Carter of Franklin Parish.

Bastrop's honorable mention selections include 5-10 junior guard Lester Lee (4.4 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 3.6 assists), 6-6 senior center Demarkiyo Devoil (4.9 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 3.7 blocked shots) and 6-5 freshman center Alontae Alford (3.6 ppg, 4.6 rpg).
