Beekman joins Relay for life
- Beekman Jr. High School is one of several parish schools participating in the upcoming Relay for Life. The team has had several fundraisers including a dance in Feb. and a bracelet sale. Students were given "Can you spare a dollar" donation sheets, where each line was available for purchase. To date, the Beekman team is almost halfway to their goal of $3,000.

Hayley King writes of the event...
"Participating in this event is especially important to me because my aunt, Ruby Jewel, was a victim of this horrible illness. She lost her battle against cancer in early October of last year. I was never extremely close to her, but it is always devastating to lose a member of your family.
By donating, we come one step closet to finding a cure for this disease so that no one else's loved ones are robbed of their lives or health."
