The City of Shreveport, in conjunction with Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission will host some of the top high school football programs in the south during its 2013 Battle on the Border High School Football Showcase presented by Landers Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram. Games will be held on September 13-14 at Independence Stadium in Shreveport.
The third annual showcase features powerhouse high school football programs from east Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. The showcase will also feature its first 10-team, two day format providing a full slate of weekend games for area high school football fans.
"The City of Shreveport is proud to facilitate a high school sporting event of this magnitude. We are excited about the teams that are participating and look forward to seeing a great weekend of high school football," Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover said.

Friday, September 13th — St. Thomas More vs. Calvary Baptist, 6 p.m.; Bastrop HS vs. C.E. Byrd, 8:30 p.m.
Saturday, September 14th — Acadiana vs. Neville, 2 p.m.; Marshall (Texas) vs. Parkway, 5 p.m., Longview (Texas) vs. Olive Branch (Miss.), 7:30 p.m.
