Riding the four-hit pitching of Casey Sutton, Sterlington blanked Minden 4-0 Friday evening in Bastrop-Sterlington Tournament action at Panther Park.
Limiting the Crimson Tide to four singles, Sutton punched out 10 without walking a batter and never allowed a runner past second base.
McCaul LaCobe pitched admirably in a losing cause for Minden (10-4), striking out five and walking three.
Sterlington (9-7) scratched for an unearned run in the bottom of the second when Tyler Buffington and Sutton reached on errors and Elliott Courson doubled.
It remained 1-0 until the Panthers opened up some space with three in the sixth.
Sutton was safe on a dropped fly ball to right field, Courson walked and Trent Raffray was struck by a pitch to load the bases with one out. Taylor Lockwood then lofted a sacrifice fly and Austin Mills produced a two-run single to give the Panthers a 4-0 cushion heading into the seventh.
That was more than enough for Sutton, who ran his record to 4-0.
Kyle Vandergracht topped the Panthers' seven-hit output with a pair of singles, Courson doubled and Lockwood, Mills, Tyler Buffington and Sutton supplied base hits.
Austin Sumner accounted for two of the Crimson Tide's four hits and Hatton Leppert and Thomas Pevy singled.
