The Bastrop-Sterlington Tournament will be played at four different venues, starting Thursday.

Thirteen schools will combine to play 24 games at four different venues in the Bastrop/Sterlington Baseball Tournament, scheduled for Thursday-Saturday.

Seven games will be played at Bastrop's Baron Ballpark and Sterlington High, with five games on the docket for St. Frederick and Ouachita Christian.

Also entered in the tournament are Cedar Creek, Delhi Charter, Farmerville, Forest, Lakeside, Minden, Oak Grove, Rayville and Shreveport Southwood.

Oak Grove at Lakeside open Thursday's action at Baron at 4 p.m., followed by Delhi Charter vs. Bastrop at 6:30.

On Friday, Rayville is matched against Cedar Creek at 4 p.m., with the Rams taking on Southwood at 6:30.

Three games are on tap for Saturday: Farmerville vs. Oak Grove at 10 a.m., Oak Grove vs. Minden at 12:30 p.m. and Farmerville vs. Bastrop at 3.

Off to a 2-7 start, the Rams are trying to get untracked at home after playing eight of their first nine on the road.

Bastrop will send Chase Cockrell to the mound against Delhi Charter, with Kyle Perkins drawing the start against Southwood. Saturday's starter has yet to be determined.

Military Day will be observed Saturday at the Bastrop tournament site. Veterans will be admitted free of charge and two military vehicles will be on display. An inflatable obstacle course will be available for fans and a National Guard booth will be set up inside the ballpark.

At Panther Park in Sterlington, Forest plays Cedar Creek at 4 p.m. on Thursday, with Southwood and Sterlington colliding in the 6:30 nightcap.

Delhi Charter faces Minden on Friday at 4 p.m., with Minden and Sterlington taking the diamond at 6:30.

Sterlington will play a double header on Saturday, taking on Forest at 10 a.m. and Rayville at 12:30.

Sterlington will send senior righthander Allen Anders to the mound for Thursday's game, with senior righty Casey Sutton (3-0, 1.12 ERA) taking the bump Friday. On Saturday, Ross Lambert will draw the starting assignment vs. Forest, with Austin Haman (3-0, 1 save, 0.00) getting the call vs. Rayville.
Senior center fielder Taylor Lockwood (.425 batting average, 1 HR, 13 stolen bases, 20 runs scored), who signed with LSU-Shreveport last week, is off to a torrid start for the Panthers (8-5). Senior catcher Kyle Dolecheck is batting .316 with a home run and 11 RBI.

St. Frederick will host Rayville on Thursday and Forest on Friday. Starting time for both games is 6:30 p.m.

Three games will be played at St. Frederick on Saturday: Southwood vs. St. Frederick at 10 a.m., Delhi Charter vs. Lakeside at 1 p.m. and Lakeside vs. Cedar Creek at 4.

Defending Class 1A state champion OCS will entertain Farmerville on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
Friday's schedule at OCS has Lakeside paired against Farmerville at 4 p.m. and Oak Grove vs. OCS at 6:30.

On Saturday, it's Rayville vs. OCS at 10 a.m. and Southwood vs. OCS at 1 p.m.
