  • Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Mae Hearod Andrews will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2013 at Victory Tabernacle with the Rev. Kevin Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Golden Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at Victory Tabernacle.

  • Mrs. Andrews, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013 in Bastrop. Mrs. Andrews was a member of Victory Tabernacle. Mrs. Andrews was born in Bastrop; she and her husband lived in Los Angeles County for 42 years and they raised three kids and two grand kids for 32 years in LaMirada, Calif. She was a homemaker and mother. She has been in Bastrop for 15 years.
    Mrs. Andrews was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy Hearod and Ola Mae Brown Hearod; a brother, James "Sonny" Hearod; a grandson, Matthew Weyandt; and a daughter-in-law, Linda Andrews.
    Mrs. Andrews is survived by her husband, David Joseph Andrews; three children, Michael Andrews of Bastrop, Terri "Sissy" Mayfield of West Monroe and Carl Andrews and wife Cheri of Apple Valley, Calif.; two sisters, Shirley Bell of Shreveport and Elizabeth Espinosa both of Glendora, Calif.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
