Obituary Boyce Holt, 90
- Funeral services for Mr. Boyce Ray Holt, age 79, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home, Bastrop, LA with Bro. Tim Post officiating. Interment will be at the Mer Rouge Cemetery, Bastrop, LA.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr Holt was a retired Center Point Energy employee. He attended and had been active with Bethel Baptist Church and First Baptist Church. Mr Holt is survived by his two sons, Boyce Ray Holt II, and Benny Michael Holt and wife Debby, both of Poplar Bluff, MO; the mother of his children, Melba Yazell of Poplar Bluff, MO; his two sisters, Glenda Huffman and husband Kirk of Sheridan, AR, and Julia Foll and husband Frank of Mountain View, AR; his brother, Scotty Holt and wife Yong of Newark, AR; and his two grandchildren, Sarah Holt and Hannah Holt.
Mr Holt is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Jewell Holt; two wives, Mary Louise Eppinette Holt, and Linda Shores Holt; and two brothers, Arthur T. Holt, and Gary Holt.
Mr. Holt was an avid sports fan and was a 1952 graduate of Newport High School, Newport, AR. He attended Arkansas State University in 1952 and 1953 where he played football and baseball.
