  • Funeral services for Mr. Frank J. Loveday, age 83, are scheduled for 10 AM Friday, February 15, 2013 at Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Loveday and Rev. Andy Myrick officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation is scheduled for 5 PM until 7 PM Thursday at Golden Funeral Home.

  • Mr. Loveday, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Tuesday, February 12 in Monroe, LA. He was a member of The American Legion and served in the Vietnam and Korean wars. He served as sky marshal and gunship platoon sergeant.
    Mr. Frank J. Loveday is survived by his wife, Ernestine Loveday; his daughters, Monie Mixon of Mer Rouge, LA, Sandy Shrode and husband Joe of Toccoa, GA; his son, Rev. Mike Loveday and wife Virginia of Bastrop, LA; his grandchildren, Heather, Julie, Tasha, Randy, and his 10 great grandchildren.
    He is preceded in death by his parents, A.C. and Bertie Loveday; his brother, Ray Loveday; and his sister, Iva Clark.
    Serving as pallbearers will be, Jordan Teffault, Melvin Richard, Ronnie Loveday, Scotty Lowery, Gary Lowery, and Brandon Loveday.
