The Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office recently hosted a Police Officers Standards
and Training (P.O.S.T.) Level 3 Corrections Officer certification course. The 90
hour course includes topics in legal issues, CPR/First Aid, Shotgun Orientation, and
Defensive Tactics. The course included four deputies from the Morehouse Parish
Sheriff's Office: Joseph Cain, James Cerda, Shelby Johnson, and Sonya Kenly; and 15
deputies from the Jackson Parish Correctional Center in Jonesboro: Donnie Anderson,
Jerry Candler, Jeffery Cannady, Tony Causey, Tracy Garner, Amy Garrett, Carlos
Jackson, Yuey Jackson Jr., Ronald Lowery, Malcolm McGuire, Alana Moore, Alfred
Qualls Jr., Chet Ramsey, J.W. Tumlin Jr., and Eloise White. The course was taught by
instructors from the Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office: James Mardis, Jerry Deville,
Scott Culp, Brain Rainbolt, Alice Hawkins, Patty Sisk, and Amber Rawls. Shelia
