Did Beyonce literally bring the house down?
Minutes into the third quarter of the Super Bowl, power went out for half the Superdome in New Orleans Sunday night, putting a stop to play and leaving the players and coaches wondering how long of a delay there would be.
After the first play of the second half, the lights in the stadium all went dark due to a power surge, according to commentators on CBS.
Play resumed at 9:10 p.m. ET, after about a 35-minute delay. The Baltimore Ravens were beating the San Francisco 49ers 28-6 when play was stopped.
The 49ers staged a valiant comeback in the second half, but still ended up losing the game 34-31, after being unable to convert a touchdown attempt at the goal line in the final minutes.
