Jerrie Williams is a blogger on the Beauregard Daily News website. The name of her blog is C.O.P.E. Community Organized Parents in Education. This blog is syndicated statewide to all GateHouse websites. She will not only be blogging about local education concerns, but information about resources for parental research on different subjects concerning children and their well being. Jerrie Williams is the mother of three autistic children. Her journey began in 1999, when she discovered that her children were not developing according to the national mind stone charts. This was after they had received immunizations and developed reactions to them. She later learned the immunizations contained an agent that her children were allergic to, which led to their developmental delays. She moved her children to Georgia to be treated by a specialist in autism and brain injury in 2000. Since then she has been searching and discovering several research-based interventions and resources to educate, support and assist in the recovery of autism. She moved to Louisiana in August, 2011, and has been involved in educating the community about autism and the resources available to parents of autistic children as well as adults with autism. She has been instrumental in helping the Beauregard Parish school system to design an individualized curriculum that was suited for the educational needs of her children as well as other special needs children. Her children have since blossomed with this curriculum and continue to thrive. She will continue in her journey as a mother and an advocate for others.
After weeks of amassing his army, The Vampire Diaries' Tyler is ready to take down Klaus. But what happens when Klaus catches wind of his plan?
"As soon as he learns what's going on with Tyler and how there's this hybrid revolution happening, [Klaus] will be utterly furious," Joseph Morgan tells TVGuide.com. "We've seen some of what Klaus is capable of, but he's going to go very far when this comes to a conclusion. He won't take that lightly."
In the last few episodes, Tyler (Michael Trevino) has worked with his friend Haley (Phoebe Tonkin) to help his fellow hybrids break Klaus' sire bond. But all of Tyler's work may be for naught since Haley seems to have her own agenda. "Like anything else [in Mystic Falls], nothing ever goes according to plan, something always goes wrong in the middle, and you have to adapt," Trevino tells us. "[Stefan and Tyler] both have to figure out how they can both get what they need accomplished, hopefully, also saving people's lives."
But while the relationship between the Mystic Falls gang and Klaus used to be slightly more black and white, he's also developed certain relationships and partnerships along the way. While Trevino says Caroline's recent behavior towards Klaus is "all an act," he does admit that "at the end of the day, emotions come out. Klaus is a charismatic immortal!" Morgan also sees how his character has inched his way closer into Caroline's heart. "He's done a lot of terrible things in the past and she would be reluctant to just forgive him for those things, but she's starting to understand him a little more," Morgan says. "Certainly in Episode 7, when they had the champagne and he told her about the hummingbird, there was a definite move forward in their relationship. [He's]opening up to her in that way, laying himself on the line and just being a little more charming and less threatening and aggressive."
Stefan (Paul Wesley) also has his own mission, and, despite always being on Tyler's side, he now needs Klaus to help him find the vampire cure. "We'll see in the midseason finale some great scenes between them including one where Klaus tells Stefan like it is and he is more open with him than he has been in a while," Morgan says.
With everything coming to a head on Thursday's episode, both Trevino and Morgan agree there will be repercussions of their showdown. "It's a huge episode for Tyler," Trevino says. "It's time to ... take charge and with that comes some consequences."
The Vampire Diaries airs on Thursday at 8/7c on The CW and don't forget to watch this week's The Vampire Diaries Bite.
