George Daniel Clark Funeral services for George Daniel Clark, of Monroe, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, November 16, 2012, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Reverend Leo Crawford of Clearwater, FL, officiating; former priest of Christ Episcopal Church, Bastrop, LA. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Clark passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center. He was born in 1933 and lived in the Monroe area all his life. He was the owner of George Clark Chevrolet-Olds in Bastrop and was very active in many community services. He also served in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean conflict. Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John William Clark; and his wife, Peggy Hines Clark. Survivors include his best friend, Toni Clark Barkley; son, Barrett Russell Clark; brother, John W. Clark, Jr., and wife Patricia; and several nieces and nephews and many many friends. Pallbearers will be Robert Fitzgerald, Mike Barkley, Mark Clark, Greg Smith, Randy Parker, and Timothy Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Dye, Jerry Ragus, and Karen Dye Bennett. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Marcus Brantley Marcus Brantley, 41, a resident of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Bontia, La., died November 8, 2012. Service will be Sunday November 18, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at St.Luke Baptist Church in Bontia, La. Visitation is Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Tennant Funeral Home in Bastrop, La. Burial is incomplete at this time under the directions of Tennant Funeral Home of Bastrop. Milton Randle Milton Randle, 51, a resident of Los Angeles, Calif., formerly of Bastrop, died November 3, 2012. Services are incomplete at this time, but will be under the directions of Tennant Funeral Home of Bastrop. Toney Lou Rhodes Benson Funeral service for Toney Lou Rhodes Benson, 70, of Oakland, Calif., will be held Saturday, November 17, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. at New Second Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen No. 1 Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Nov. 16 at Loche’s Mortuary Chapel. Lewis Jack Sprouse Lewis Jack Sprouse, age 29, of Harwood, Maryland, an electrician, died suddenly, September 9, 2012. He enjoyed fishing and crabbing as well as many other sports. He is survived by his mother, Stella Allen and step-father, Morris Allen of Bastrop; his daughter, Alexis Lynn Sprouse; three sisters, Melinda Sprouse and fiancee' Ernest Roy of Covington, Louisiana, Kathleen Hockman of New Orleans, Louisiana and Felicia Allen of San Diego, California; a brother, Morris Hockman of New Orleans, Louisiana; grandmother, Opal Sprouse; aunts Rhonda Davis, Julie Sprouse, Lorie Sprouse; an uncle, Robert Sprouse; and Victoria Sprouse and Rose Sprouse. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews. Lewis is preceded in death by his grandfather, David Sprouse and an aunt, Ethel Sprouse. A service of blessing and remembrance will be held at Devine Word Church, 418 Division Street, Bastrop, Louisiana at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 15, 2012 with Pastor Emmitt Randle officiating.
