Agents of the Vernon Parish Narcotics Task Force responded to a complaint of a possible Methamphetamine lab on July 16 at a residence in the area of Buddy Hall Road. Upon their arrival, contact was made with Derek McElhiney, age 30, of Leesville, while he was in a vehicle parked at the residence. McElhiney gave permission to agents for a search of his vehicle and agents did locate drug paraphernalia. McElhiney was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.
While at the location agents also made contact with Alexandra Hall, age 22, of Anacoco and Laci Adair, age 21, of Zwolle who were inside the residence, and agents received permission to search and while executing the search, agents did locate Methamphetamine.
Hall and Adair were charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and were booked into the Vernon Parish Jail. A bond was set at $ 15,000 each. Hall posted bond and was released, and Adair remains in the Vernon Parish Jail with a hold for the Fisher Police Department.
On July 26 Clarence Graham, Jr., age 25, of Leesville was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and driving with an expired drivers license. Graham was arrested while at McDonald’s Restaurant located on Entrance Road, and his bond was set at $ 8,664. Graham remains in the Vernon Parish Jail.
Graham’s arrest was the result of a joint operation between the Vernon Parish Narcotics Task force and Agents from the Criminal Investigations Division from Fort Polk.
Patrol Deputy Lando Sullivan attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Rosepine area on July 26, and the vehicle was later found to be driven by Michael S. Moore, age 55, of Rosepine. The vehicle was stopped in the area of Bailey Road after a short pursuit, and Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located within the vehicle. Agents of the Vernon Parish Narcotics Task Force obtained a search warrant for Moore’s residence and did locate additional drug paraphernalia.
Moore was arrested and booked into the Vernon Parish Jail on charges of possession of Methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, flight from an officer, exceeding a safe speed, disobeying a stop sign and violation of the open container law. Total bond was set at $ 5,373, and Moore posted bond and was released from the Vernon Parish Jail.
On July 27, 2012 deputies and agents with the Vernon Narcotics Task Force arrested Tyrone Marshall, age 22, of Leesville, as the result of a traffic stop made in the area of Highway 467. Marshall was booked into the Vernon Parish Jail on one count of speeding, one count of driving with suspended license and one count of distribution of crack cocaine. Bond was set at $ 25,553. Marshall remains in the Vernon Parish Jail at the time of this release.
