  • A Gibson, La., woman was charged with injuring her toddler daughter while driving drunk after her car flipped on a Terrebonne Parish highway, State Police said.
    The Courier reports (http://bit.ly/NAJoJN ) the 2-year-old daughter of Lisa Marie Townsend received minor injuries.
    State police spokesman Evan Harrell said the mother also was slightly injured.
    Townsend was driving Monday on Louisiana Highway 182 when she drifted out of her lane and over-corrected, Harrell said. The car began to spin, then flipped, he said.
    The child was in a safety seat, Harrell said.
    Townsend also was charged with vehicular negligent injury, child endangerment, not having a driver's license or registration, having a switched license plate, switched or no inspection sticker and not wearing a seat belt.
    She was booked at the Terrebonne Parish Jail.
