  •   For many local growers, a lack of a significant rainfall sometime over the next seven to 10 days is going to be a make or break event.
      Terry Erwin, Morehouse Parish agent for the LSU AgCenter, said Friday that about 25 to 30 percent of the 60,000 to 70,000 acres of soybeans planted this season in Morehouse was planted on “dry land,” meaning little or non irrigation methods.
